2018 Action Shooting League

WHEN: Monday’s in June and July starting at 6PM until sunset.

(June 4, 11, 18, 25; July 9, 16, 23, 30)

WHERE: Rifle Range

WHAT IS IT: This is an “action” shooting league using a centerfire

handgun or a combination of handgun and shotgun to engage a variety

of targets at varying ranges and shooting positions. You will be scored

on speed and accuracy.

WHAT DO I NEED: Handgun, holster, a means to carry spare magazines

or speedloaders, eye protection and ear protection. A shotgun with

birdshot (#6 to #8 shot, low brass) is optional. It is suggested that a

shooter have at least 30 rounds of handgun ammunition to be able to

complete a single match.

MATCH FORMAT: Each week will feature a new match layout with

approximately 20 rounds per match required. The shooter will have the

option of using a handgun for the entire match, or a combination of

shotgun and handgun. The matches are designed to challenge the

shooter and help develop a variety of new shooting skills.

COST: A $5 donation will allow the shooter to shoot 2 matches.
